SocialTech is a social technologies lab, engaged in education, experimentation and application of innovative contents, which spread inclusive use of technologies and digitalization about cohesion processes concerning social challenges.
SocialTech was founded at the end of 2016 by a group of experts and professionals in various fields of social business, business development, enabling technologies and communication strategy.
The main action areas of ST are:
- Innovative solutions and contents development, high social impact ideas and practices (social & tech solution provider);
- Digital education: creative learning and coding workshops for teenager and children, development of logical thinking and creativity through new digital media, supporting new learning methods and new skills related to technological evolution: learning to learn, finding solutions in a creative way, know how to design.
SocialTech promotes technologies intelligent adoption to facilitate access and use of social inclusion services, to services redesign, by encouraging technological innovation as a tool for individuals and the physical communities empowerment, also by improving efficiency and qualification of welfare and education systems. SocialTech also develops and encourages the creative and enabling use of technologies, digital literacy and digital awareness projects for young people and fragile groups, for active aging and reduction of digital divide as an element of integration social.
In close cooperation with LabNet SAA, SocialTech is involved in ‘JobMe – Widespread Architecture for the enhancement of human and social capital’ project aimed at developing the City of Learning model in Turin, which fosters skill digital recognition through Open Badges, connection of widespread learning experiences, dynamic mapping of asset of skills developed in Turin urban area. The project aims to introduce new tools and practices to advance creation of a digital civic platform of skill open network enabling creation of trust-chains around identifiable human capital in an urban community.
