The Italian Labour Union (UIL) is the democratic and unitary trade union of workers, pensioners, citizens of all religious, political and ethnic beliefs, associated for the defense of rights and professional, economic, social and moral interests, in compliance with the principles of democracy and freedom affirmed in the Republican Constitution.
UIL is organized into categories that ensure the contractual defense of workers in all sectors, from industry to services, from agriculture to public employment, as well as pensioners.
UIL also protects the rights and interests of young people, women, foreigners, unemployed, and more generally offers assistance to all citizens.
UIL has offices distributed throughout the territory and provides tax services, social security, assistance to consumers and tenants. It also carries out concertation and negotiation actions with institutions at all levels and with local autonomies, in defense of the interests of its representatives.
