The Global Social Business Summit (GSBS): Organized by The Grameen Creative Lab and the Yunus Centre since 2009, the Global Social Business Summit is the worldwide leading summit of the social business community around Nobel Laureate Prof. Muhammad Yunus, involving social business practitioners, promoters, and friends from the corporate, academic, institutional, and entrepreneurial world with the purpose to engage in dialogue, share ideas and inspire as well as act to solve the socio-environmental challenges of our time with social business and its ecosystem.
The summit has hosted renowned and inspiring leaders, partners and friends among the likes of state leaders, CEOs and inspiring personalities and entrepreneurs from the ecosystem of social business.
The Summit in 2022
The Global Social Business Summit 2022 will return after two years of hiatus, with a physical event hosted at Centrale Lavazza, in Turin, Italy on 7th and 8th November 2022 and streamed to over 100 thousand people worldwide.
As a coming back after the pandemic that has profoundly transformed our world and work, and in a very delicate moment of human history, this edition of the Summit is extraordinary. The responsibility and commitment we feel and share with our speakers are essential, as we aim to facilitate impactful conversations on one key topic: how to achieve peace and which role social businesses can play.
Discussions and activities will center around solutions promoting technology for good (Tech4Good), alleviating poverty, creating employment opportunities, advancing economic inclusion, and protecting the climate. In addition, it will embrace the concept of a culture of peace and inclusive growth that has emerged as a fundamental topic
motivating talks on recovery and development that social business itself contributes to disseminating thanks to its unselfish nature and responsible leadership.
