UniCredit Banking Academy, in collaboration with AICCON, Politecnico di Milano – Tiresia/MIP, Fondazione Italiana Accenture and TechSoup, presents ROAD TO SOCIAL CHANGE, a project for the Italian Third Sector development which intends to play a leading role in the country’s recovery process, contributing significantly to the realisation of many important economic and social challenges. The project, which runs throughout 2021, ideally crosses Italy with 7 stages in the territories of our country.
Road to Social Change is aimed at training the new professional figure of the Social Change Manager of the Third Sector, to design and guide the transformation processes of Italian Non-Profit organisations. The primary objective of the Road to Social Change project is to trigger, enhance and accompany processes of change and innovation that are strongly rooted in the territory and the communities that live there.
The project offers a path of inspiration and training that develops through Digital Talks of national interest, local seminars and on demand online courses with the aim of providing knowledge, encouraging moments of confrontation and networking, stimulating the creation of new alliances and accelerating change. Through this course you will acquire the skills necessary to obtain the Social Change Manager Open Badge.
Call for the Third Sector
In parallel to the roadmap, the project is promoting the “Call Road to Social Change“, an open call to identify and promote 7 projects with a strong social impact, capable of providing structural solutions to make the beneficiary communities more solid and cohesive, stimulating innovation and new economies.
The seven best community-building proposals will be rewarded with targeted consultancy support and with economic awards as specified in the regulations.
The call is open until 30/09/2021.

The Open Badge
An Open Badge is a digital certification of knowledge, skills and competences acquired, in this case issued by MIP – Politecnico di Milano. It certifies a professional figure, the Social Change Manager, who, in the non-profit sector, initiates and manages social and participatory innovation processes. This professional is able to develop a transformative vision for and in collaboration with communities and to implement this vision through processes of co-design and co-production in partnership with public and private actors in the area, through impact management tools and digital technologies.
The Social Change Manager Open Badge is obtained through:
- Participation in 5 national Digital Talks;
- Participation in 2 local seminars;
- 100% completion of the On Demand content on the Ideatre60 platform (roadtosocialchange.ideatre60.it/)
We would also like to remind that in order to obtain the Social Change Manager Open Badge it is necessary to participate in at least two territorial seminars, one held by TechSoup and Tiresia – Politecnico di Milano, and one held by UniCredit trainers. There will be a total of 14 territorial seminars (two for each territory) and they are open to all. When choosing which two seminars to attend, preference should be given to those held in your area. There are no restrictions on attending more than two seminars.
