A digital space to enhance volunteering and make it accessible to everyone, promoted by Volontariato Torino ETS- Vol.To
This is “La vetrina del volontariato” (Volunteering Showcase), one of the results of I3S – Innovation for the Third Sector, an initiative launched by Piemonte Innova (formerly Torino Wireless) in March 2020, with financial support from the Turin Chamber of Commerce. The project aims to pursue the objectives of the Tech4Good Program within the Torino Social Impact strategic plan.
I3S benefits from the collaboration of the Committee for Social Entrepreneurship of the Turin Chamber of Commerce and involves several key players, including Vol.To, Confcooperative Piemonte Nord, and Legacoop Piemonte. These organizations have actively participated through their Innovation Managers, contributing to the dissemination and experimentation of new solutions.
La vetrina del volontariato is a sharing economy platform designed to facilitate volunteer recruitment, foster collaborations on new projects, and promote the exchange of skills between associations and citizens. It provides immediate access to services and resources, simplifying the connection between supply and demand in the volunteering sector through an integrated digital system that makes the process smoother and faster. Moreover, the platform’s advanced system enables efficient request management, making volunteering opportunities more accessible both for associations and individuals interested in getting involved.
The ultimate goal is to make the sector more inclusive and accessible. Thanks to its modular and flexible structure, the project is designed to be a replicable and adaptable model for different contexts.
