Digital and Data-Driven Opportunities to Strengthen the Social Economy Impact (Do Impact) is a 24-month project that began in May 2024. The project is funded by the European Innovation Council and the Executive Agency for SMEs (EISMEA) under the call SMP-COSME-2023-SEED-01 — [Proximity and social economy industrial ecosystem: boosting the digital transition of social economy enterprises and SMEs].

Project overview

The project aims to support small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and enabling organizations working in the social economy sector that are interested in adopting digital solutions and data-driven models. Emerging and traditional digital technologies and advanced data management allow new ways of addressing social needs, enhance the ability to identify social issues, and provide greater opportunities to effectively tackle them. Due to the pervasive nature of digital technology, digital transformation and technological innovation could increase the impact of social interventions.
Based on an in-depth analysis of the social and proximity economy ecosystem, the DO Impact project aims to design and implement specific digital and data-driven programs to enhance the skills, tools, resources, and networks of European SMEs operating in the social and proximity economy sector. Leveraging the ecosystem’s capacity, these programs will first be delivered to organizations operating at a transnational level and then implemented towards local organizations, following a shared methodology focused on local and regional needs and priorities.
