Ashoka, the largest network of social entrepreneurs in the world, celebrates for the first time in Italy the Ashoka Changemaker Summit (ACMS), the continental event in which it will gather its associates and strategic partners, and Torino Social Impact is an official partner.
2021 edition
The theme of the 2021 edition was A New Togetherness: the aim was to connect the social innovator community, with leaders of the private, public and philanthropic sector to definite strategies to foster a systemic social change: an Everyone is a Changemaker world, in which actors have the confidence and resources to contribute to the common good.
With the ACMS Ashoka intends to:
- Fuel collective learning processes
- Connect high-level social entrepreneurs, business leaders, and philanthropy leaders
- Get to know young Italian changemakers and their high-impact initiatives
- Create collaborations within a global community that creates and scales innovative projects
- Celebrating ideas that change entire systems and previewing the new Ashoka Fellows, systems-changing social entrepreneurs, elected in Italy in 2021

Torino Social Impact: an alliance to strengthen the ecosystem

“We are truly honored – said Federico Mento, director of Ashoka Italy – to be the country that will host the final moment of the 2021 Summit. When we proposed Turin’s candidacy almost two years ago, we were certain that the city would respond to the initiative with great enthusiasm. It’s no coincidence that the CRT Foundation, which I thank for the trust it placed in Ashoka, immediately decided to support the organization of the Summit. At the same time, equally valuable was the contribution of Torino Social Impact, a fundamental animator of the local ecosystem.”

Road to Ashoka Changemaker Summit
Ashoka Italia, Torino Social Impact, Fondazione CRT, OGR Torino, Fondazione Sviluppo e Crescita have worked on a roadmap of approaching events with a series of initiatives and projects defined on the basis of the indications of the steering committee made up of over twenty subjects from the Turin ecosystem.
