The course on Social Impact Evaluation is carried out by the Management Department of the University of Turin and is conceived to enhance knowledge and skills on the field of impact assessment.

Through a hybrid and highly innovative didactic approach, the course merges theoretical and practical approaches to the identification of Impact Management strategies and their measurement. A final business case completes the sharing of learning among the participants.
The course includes a total of 125 hours of classroom lessons, practical-laboratory lessons and a project work.

The University course, coordinated by Prof. Paolo Biancone, is carried out by the Management Department of the University of Turin with Tiresia Politecnico di Milano, Polytechnic of Turin , Cottino Social Impact Campus, the Chamber of Commerce of Turin, Compagnia di San Paolo Foundation, the training bodies of the Centrali Cooperative (Legacoop Piemonte) e Il Nodo (Confcooperative Piemonte Nord)

The course is addressed to individuals who hold managerial roles within organizations of the Third Sector and social enterprises and those who are responsible for reporting the effectiveness and efficiency of activities in terms of both economic and financial and social.

• Bachelor or Master of Science degree.
• Participants may be admitted to the course even if they do not have a degree but have work experience in the field.

Fifth Edition

The Competence Center for Social Impact Assessment presents the fifth edition of the University Course for Professional Update “Social Impact Assessment.”

Designed for third-sector organizations, entities, and social enterprises, the course employs a hybrid approach, combining theoretical and practical elements to provide training on social impact assessment and management. It addresses projects for European, national, and local funding, as well as large-scale events, utilizing online formats for nationwide accessibility.

Upon completion, participants can obtain Cepas certification, registration in the national registry of Impact Assessors, and a digital “Open Badge” certificate from Bestr.

Fourth edition

The course starts on 6 February 2023 and includes weekly 4-hour appointments on Monday afternoons for a total of 40 hours of lectures (the remaining 85 hours are individual and group activities and preparation of project work).

The lessons will be delivered exclusively online, with live teaching. At the end of the course a certificate of competences “Social Impact Assessor” will be issued, after verification of the same and in addition the OPEN BADGE digital certificate issued by Bestr.

The objective of this course is to develop Impact Management strategies and cognitive processes necessary for social impact assessment and NRP-related projects. The CUAP is aimed at organisations and all those who wish to enhance and deepen their knowledge on this topic.

Third edition

The third edition of the course started in February 2022, with an enrollment of eighty. Examining the numbers of the course, an interesting aspect that has emerged is that about 70% of CUAP participants over time are women.

Another important point is the presence, among the students, of representatives of the Public Administration, which underlines how the issue of Social Impact Assessment related to the reporting of projects linked to the NRP is becoming of interest also at the governance level.

Second edition

The second edition of the course started on February 1, 2021, with an enrollment that reached 70 participants among associations, companies and freelancers from Piedmont, Lombardy, Liguria and Puglia.

First edition

The first edition of the course began in January 2020 and ended in April. Of the more than 90 enrolled, half of the participants were social cooperatives in the area, followed by institutions, voluntary associations, accountants and start-ups with a social vocation.
